Does PercenX just give me the answer?
No. One of the main goals of PercenX is to help you understand how a problem is solved.
When appropriate, PercenX provides a structured solution showing the reasoning and intermediate steps leading to the final answer.
If something still doesn't make sense, you can ask a follow-up question about the solution. Ask PercenX to explain a step differently, clarify why a formula or method was used, show more detail, or help you understand where you went wrong.
You can continue asking follow-up questions as needed, subject to your plan's usage limits, so you don't have to stop at the first explanation.
For example, you might ask:
- “Can you explain Step 2 in more detail?”
- “Why did you use this formula?”
- “Can you explain this in a simpler way?”
- “Where did I go wrong in my solution?”
- “Can you show me another way to solve this?”
- “Why is my answer different?”
- “Can you give me a similar problem to practice?”
Try working through each step yourself instead of focusing only on the result. If you get stuck, use follow-up questions to dig deeper until the reasoning makes sense.
Tip: Try the problem yourself first, then use PercenX to check your reasoning and ask questions about anything you don't understand. This turns PercenX into an interactive study tool rather than simply an answer checker.
